The minutes from the July 06, 1999 Board meeting were reviewed. <br />MOTION: THAT THE MINUTES FROM THE JULY 6, 1999 BOARD MEETING <br />BE APPROVED. M/STUDDERT, SMUDSON. <br />USDA, Natural Resources Conservation Report — Matt Kinane <br />3.1 Reported on recent field office activities with USDA programs on the Food <br />Security Act (FSA), Conservation Reserve Program (CRP), and the Wildlife <br />Habitat Incentives Program (WHIP). <br />3.2 EQIP FY1999: <br />The Farm Service Agency County Committee gave approval to begin developing <br />contracts for the following EQIP applications: <br />Contract # Producer Tract # Contract <br />19990067 Armistead Eugene Divine 5600 $2,658.00 <br />19990071 Mark A. Basinger 5610 $1,476.00 <br />19990072 Curtis Lee Upright 16 $3,423.00 <br />Total FY99 EQIP for Cabarrus County $7,557.00 <br />MOTION THAT BOARD ACCEPT EQIP CONTRACTS TO BE <br />DEVELOPED. M/STUDDERT, S/HUDSON, MOTION CARRIED. <br />3.3 Forestry Incentives Program (FIP): (Continuous Sign -up) <br />FIP applications are now being accepted for FY99. The Concord F.O. has <br />received one application and it has been forwarded to the NRCS contracting <br />officer for approval and funding. The application was for site preparation. Also, <br />Emergency FIP money is also available for the planting of trees that died due to <br />weather conditions. Must have at least 10 acres to be planted. <br />3.4 Information and Service Center News: <br />NC Cooperative Extension — "Natural Stream Processes" <br />River Course Fact Sheet Number 1 <br />
