175 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, St. James Catholic Church has availed its facilities for <br /> nondenominational and nonreligious use to serve ourarea <br /> needs; and <br />WHEREAS, On Sunday, July 31, 1994, at 6:00 P.M~ the congregation <br /> of St. James Catholic Church, will dedicate a new Parish <br /> Center. <br />WHEREAS, The members of St. James Catholic Church reaffirm their <br /> commitment of Christian values and support of our local <br /> citizenry. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Cabarrus County Board <br />of Commissioners hereby proclaims August 1, 1994 as <br /> "St. James Catholic Church Day" <br />in Cabarrus County in honor of 125 years of religious and community <br />service to the region. <br /> This the 18th day of July, 1994. <br /> <br /> /s/ Jeffrey L. Barnhart <br /> Chairman, County Commissioners <br />ATTEST: of Cabarrus County, North Carolina <br /> /s/ Frankie F, Bonds <br />Clerk to the Board of Commissioners <br />of Cabarrus County, North Carolina <br /> <br />Commissioner Payne presented the signed Proclamation to Father Carboy. <br /> <br />Presentation of the 4-H Gnome to Cabarrus County by the Cabarrus County Extension <br />Homemakers Association - Ms. Judy Graeber, President <br /> <br /> Ms. Judy Graeber, President of the Extension Homemakers Association, and <br />Mr. Robert Conroy, President of the Cabarrus 4-H Foundation, presented a 4-H <br />Gnome to Cabarrus County for permanent display in the Governmental Center Lobby. <br />The Tom Clark original was commissioned by 4-H with the proceeds to be used for <br />the North Carolina 4-H Development Fund and county-level 4-H programs across the <br />state. Commissioners Casper mnd Fennel accepted the 4-H Gnome on behalf of <br />Cabarrus County. <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />Appointment - Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors (1) <br /> <br /> Commissioner Fennel nominated Mr. Michael A. Brown of Harrisburg for <br />appointment to the Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors for a term <br />of one year. The nomination was seconded by Commissioner Casper. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Chairman Barnhart and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved that nominations be closed and Mr. Michael <br />A. Brown appointed by acclamation to the Economic Development Corporation Board <br />of Directors for a term of one year beginning July 1, 1994 and ending June 30, <br />1995. <br /> <br />Order Adopting Final Uniform Schedules of Values, Standards, and Rules for 1995 <br />County-Wide Revaluation <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Fennel and <br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Order. <br /> <br /> ORDER ADOPTING <br /> FINAL UNIFORM SCHEDULES OF <br /> VALUES, STANDARDS, AND RULES <br />FOR 1995 COUNTY-WIDE REVALUATION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to G.S. 105-286, Cabarrus County will <br />reappraise all real property in accordance with the provisions of <br />G.S. 105-283 and G.S. 105-317; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of G.S. 105-317, the <br />County Assessor for Cabarrus County has submitted proposed uniform <br />schedules of values, standards, and rules to the County <br />Commissioners, which proposed schedules have been considered at a <br />public hearing; and <br /> <br /> <br />
