MINUTES <br />CABARRUS SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT BOARD MEETING <br />TUESDAY December l - 2015 <br />Supervisors Present: Vicky Porter, Jeff Goforth, Ned Hudson, and <br />Louis Suther <br />Staff Present: Erin Lineberger and Daniel McClellan <br />Others Present: Kelly Sifford, Department Head; Ralston James, <br />DSWC Partner; Chris Childers, MRCS Partner <br />(1) Call to Order <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Vicky Porter at 5:33 <br />P.M. <br />(2) Approval of Agenda <br />UPON MOTION of Jeff Goforth, seconded by Ned Hudson and <br />unanimously carried, the board approved the agenda as revised. <br />(3) Approval or Correction of Minutes for August 4, 2015 Meeting <br />UPON MOTION of Ned Hudson, seconded by Louis Suther and <br />unanimously carried, the board approved the minutes of the <br />November 3rd, 2015 meeting. <br />(4) Informational Items <br />(4 -A) Board, Staff and Partner Reports <br />Erin suggested to the Board that Weekly Updates become Bi- weekly <br />Updates. The Board agreed to a bi- weekly schedule when important <br />information needs to be shared. <br />(4 -A -i) Barrier Conservation Easement <br />Kelly reported to the Board that the Barrier Conservation <br />Easement closing date of December 4th would not be reached, <br />but that a significant amount of forward movement had been <br />made towards closing. Closing is expected in January. Kelly <br />additionally reported that she had been contacted by David <br />Welch regarding a Farmland Preservation grant for Suther <br />Prarie, and had given him permission to write and submit <br />the grant on our behalf, improving Suther Prarie prospects <br />
