¢1) The senior fire of fleer responsible for the .fire <br />emer§ency shall make a tull Investigation of each fire to deter- <br />mine~ ~f possible, the cause of the fire. A report of the <br />findings of [his Investigation shall be forwarded to the fire <br />marshal within thirty ¢30) days of the fire on forms supplied by <br />the fire marshal . if evidence shows the fire may be It~cendiary <br />or if persons are injured er killed, the fire marshal and other <br />necessary state and local of ficiais shall be notified immediately. <br /> <br /> (j) The depsr tment sh~l I furnish to the Board of <br />County Commissioners ~n independent audit of receipts ~nd dis- <br />bursements for the fiscal year conducted by an accountant <br />ocr ti fled by the State of North Carolina. This audit, inaluding <br />a financial statement for the previous fiscal year and all <br />auditors opinion, shall be submitted annually with the <br />departments budget request. If the audit was completed more than <br />120 days before the budget request is due an additional financial <br />statement of fund balalloes and expected expenditures will be <br /> <br /> (k) The fire chief shall be responsible for filing all <br />reports required by Ioo~l, state and federal agencies. <br /> <br /> (I) Each department Involved with the medical first <br />responders program shall prey[de basic life support to siak and <br />i~ljured persons and shall work under the guidelines set forth by <br />the Director of Emergency Services. <br /> <br /> tm) E~oll dep~rtment sh&[I provide ~ means of notifying <br />members of a fire call. This system may include a siren capable <br />of being activated by the Cabarrus ~ounty Fire Dispatch Center <br />and should include radio receivers for individual members or a <br />telephone call system to be used by members. <br /> <br /> SECTION 6. The duties of the county fire m~rshal are: <br /> <br /> (~) To act ~s & liaison between the fire dep~rtments <br />and the county manager and the Board of County Commissioners and <br />shall keep said informed on matters i~lvolving fire departments, <br />fire districts# and tsx districts. <br /> <br /> (b) To aid I~ planning~ organizing ~ed developing new <br />departments, faoil Itles and distr lots. <br /> <br /> ¢o) To be an advisor to the county msnager and the <br />county commissioners concerning requirements of the Insurance <br />Services Of rices with regard [o the ratings of fire dist[icts. <br /> <br /> id) To assist In developing a comprehensive training <br />program for all county fire dep~rtments. <br /> <br /> 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
