886 <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners, for the County of Cabarrus, met at 9:00 a.m. <br /> <br />Thursday, June 24, 1971 in the Commissioners' room. <br /> <br /> Present - Chairman - S. Glenn Hawfield, Jr. <br /> <br /> Commissioners Robert A. McClary, Charles Gallimore <br /> <br /> C. Frank James, John Hammett <br /> <br /> Chairman Hawfield opened the meeting, sta£i~g the purpose of the meeting <br /> <br />was to determine what action the Board would take, regarding the levy'of a <br /> <br />one per cent (l%)sales tax. <br /> <br /> Commissioner McClary presented and read "Resolution Levying a One Per <br /> <br />Cent Local Sales and Use Tax and Prescribing the Method of Distribution of <br /> <br />the Net~Proceeds within Cabarrus County." <br /> <br /> McClary moved for adoption of the resoluti~n~.~nd Gallimore seconded <br /> <br />the motion, and it carried unanimously. This resolution is recorded on <br /> <br />Page ~ %'% and becomes a part of these minutes. <br /> <br /> Hammett made motion, seconded by Gallimore, and unanimously carried, <br /> <br />to adjourn. <br /> <br /> Clerk to Board <br /> <br /> <br />
