527 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />The County of Cabarrus has need.for and intends to construct <br />a water supply system project described as Colony and Colony II <br />Subdivision, North Princeton Subdivision and surrounding area <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The County of Cabarrus intends to request State grant assist- <br /> ance for the project, <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CABARRUS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF THE <br />COUNTY OF CABARRUS: <br /> <br />That the County of Cabarrus will arrange financing for all <br />remaining costs of the project, if approved for a State grant <br />award. <br /> <br />That the County of Cabarrus will adopt and place into effect on <br />or before completion of the project a schedule of fees and <br />charges which will provide adequate funds for proper operation, <br />maintenance and administration of the system. <br /> <br />That the County of Cabarrus will provide for efficient operation <br />and maintenance of the project on completion of construction <br />thereof. <br /> <br />That the Cabarrus County Commissioners, and successors so titled, <br />is hereby authorized to execute and file an application on <br />behalf of the County of Cabarrus with the State of North Carolina <br />for a grant to aid in the construction of the project described <br />above. <br /> <br />That the County of Cabarrus gives assurance that any contractors <br />who will be awarded contracts for the project have not been <br />suspended for bid rigging for conviction or indictment of any <br />of the offenses enumerated in G.S. 133-24. <br /> <br />That the Cabarrus County Commissioners, and successors so titled, <br />is hereby authorized and directed to furnish such information as <br />the appropriate State agency may request in connection with such <br />application or the project; to make the assurances as contained <br />above; and to execute such other documents as may be required in <br />connection with the application. <br /> <br />That the County of Cabarrus has substantially complied or will <br />substantially comply with all Federal, State, and local laws, <br />rules, regulations, and ordinances, applicable to the project and <br />to Federal and State grants and loans pertaining thereto. <br /> <br />Adopted this the 21st day of March, 1984, Concord, North Carolina. <br /> <br />/s/ James W. Lentz <br /> <br />Chairman, Cabarrus County Commissioners <br /> <br /> Mr. Charles D. McGinnis, County Manager, stated that Astor Drive <br />had been withdrawn from the scheduled public hearing for'the participative <br />paving program as there was now 100 percent participation by property owners <br />on that street. <br /> Chairman Lentz stated that this was the day and hour for the public <br />hearing to determine if the County would participate financially in the <br />paving improvements for Riverside Drive and asked if anyone were present <br />who wished to speak for or against these road improvements. No one <br />spoke regarding the Riverside Drive participative paving project. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Milloway, seconded by Commissioner <br />Barnhardt and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following resolution <br />setting the second public hearing for the Riverside Drive participative <br />paving project at 10:00 A.M. on May 7, 1984. <br /> <br /> <br />
