Leon Miller, Job Training Program Administrator of the <br />Centralina Council of Governments, briefly reviewed the Job Training <br />Partnership Act transition process during the first year of operation. <br />He reported that there had been 100 percent positive terminations in <br />Cabarrus County under the program for the year. <br /> Chairman Lentz deferred the items on the agenda relating-to duplicate <br />street names and a right-of-way easement until the next Board meeting. <br /> Mr. Thomas B. Robinson, Planning Director, reported that Cabarrus <br />County has the option of developing a Community Revitalization or <br />Economic Development Application under the Small Cities Community <br />Development Block Grant Program. The maximum amount of money that the <br />County could apply for is $750,000.00 per year. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Barnhardt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board authorized Mr. Thomas B. Robinson, <br />Planning Director, to apply for the Economic Development Program for a <br />low interest loan under the Small Cities Community Development Block <br />Grant Program. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting <br />was adjourned. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
