RESTRICTIVE COVENANTS 1. The County of Cabarrus and Historic Cabarrus, Inc., covenant and agree to continuously maintain, repair and administer the premises herein described so as to preserve the historical integrity of features, materials, appearance, workmanship and environment of the premises. Adequate staffing and maintenance shall be continuously provided from funds other than federal or state governmental sources. 2. No person in the United States shall, on account of race, color or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination in the restoration and use of the property described herein. The owners covenant and agree to conform with all requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (P.L. 88- 352) and all requirements imposed by or pursuant to the Department of Interior Regulation (43 CVS 17) issued pursuant to that title, in administering said premises. In the event of a violation of these restrictions, the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources, its successors and assigns, shall have the right to take such action as it deems necessary to enforce compliance with these restrictions. Officials of the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources, its successors and assigns, shall have the right to enter the property herein described at all reasonable times for the purpose of inspecting said property to determine if the County of Cabarrus and Historic Cabarrus, Inc., their successors and assigns, are complying with said restrictive covenants. By Title Title UPON MOTION of Commissioner Milloway, seconded by Commissioner Nash and unanimously carried, the Board accepted the recommendation from Mayor W. Ralph Austin and appointed Mr. Ben Shue to the position previously held by Mr. Billy R. Hatley on the Mt. Pleasant Planning and Zoning Board and reappointed Mr. Harry Lassiter to the Mt. Pleasant Planning and Zoning Board. Both terms of office will expire on June 30, 1987. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Nash, seconded by Commissioner Barnhardt and unanimously carried, the Board accepted the recommendation from Mayor W. Ralph Austin and appointed Mr. Manley Reid Heilig and Mr. Gene Eagle as extraterritorial jurisdiction members on the Mt. Pleasant Zoning Board of Adjustment for a term of three years ending on June 30, 1987. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Nash, seconded by Commissioner Payne and unanimously carried, the Board approved the following rosters of qualified firemen for the various volunteer fire departments in Cabarrus County as submitted by Mr. James L. Pharr, Fire Marshal, for certification to the North Carolina Firemen's Pension Fund in Raleigh.
