Agricultural Extension Service <br />Date: <br /> <br /> Chairman Lentz presented the following letter of recognition to Mr. John <br />Page, Cabarrus County Building Superintendent, for his energy conservation <br />work. <br /> North Carolina Department of Commerce <br /> May 5, 1986 <br /> <br />Mr. John Page <br />Cabarrus County Courthouse <br />PO Box 707 <br />Concord, NC 28025 <br /> <br />Dear John: <br /> <br /> I would like to take this opportunity to personally recognize your <br />special efforts to make energy conservation an important part of Cabarrus <br />County daily operations. <br /> <br /> Mike Toomey, consulting engineer and President of Toomey and Associates, <br />expressed to our office your genuine interest in energy conservation while he <br />was under contract with the Energy Division to provide Cabarrus County with <br />an Energy Accounting and Management Program. He estimated that of the over <br />40 similar energy studies he has conducted for local governments, that <br />Cabarrus County ranked in the top 10 percent for building energy efficiency. <br />That is an accomplishment worth recognizing. <br /> <br /> I encourage you to continue your energy conscience efforts in Cabarrus <br />County and ask that you continue to look to the Energy Division to help you <br />meet your conservation goals. Griffith and Associates, Ltd., for the prepa- <br />ration of the 1986 Cabarrus County cost allocation plan. <br /> <br />AGREEMENT TO PROVIDE <br />PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTING SERVICES TO <br /> Cabarrus County, North Carolina <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, entered into this 7th day of July, 1986 and effective <br />immediately by and between David M. Griffith and Associates, Ltd. (herein- <br />after called the "Consultant") and the County of Cabarrus, State of North <br />Carolina (hereinafter called the "County"), WITNESSETH THAT: <br /> WHEREAS, the County has programs which it operates with Federal <br />funding, and <br /> WHEREAS, the County supports these programs with support services <br />paid from the County appropriated funds, and <br /> W]{EREAS, the Federal government and the State will pay a fair share <br />of these costs if supported by an approved cost allocation plan, and <br /> <br /> <br />
