66 <br /> <br />of the proposed Kanlacon West-Side By-Pass which would allow for the <br />planned development of the Dogwood Subdivision subject to the following <br />conditions. <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />Said consideration of an alternate route to accommodate the <br />Dogwood Subdivision would cause no significant delay in <br />planning for and/or actual construction of the West-Side <br />By-Pass. <br /> <br />The northern terminus of any fifth alternate route shall be <br />the same as the northern terminus for Alternates 1 and 2. <br /> <br />(3) The West-Side By-Pass will remain a FIRST PRIORITY project <br /> for North Carolina as currently planned. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus <br />County will continue to cooperate with the North Carolina Department of <br />Transportation in any way possible to establish an alignment and <br />preserve the corridor established for the West-Side By-Pass. <br /> <br />Adopted this the 20th day of March, 1989. <br /> <br />/s/ James W. Small, Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> upON MOTION of Commissioner Moss, seconded by Commissioner Hamby <br />and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Mr. Jimmie R. Little as an <br />alternate member on the Cabarrus County Zoning Board of Adjustment to <br />fill the position previously held by Mr. Jerry Jordan. Mr. Little's <br />term of appointment will end on February 1, 1990. <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Hamby and <br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Resolution. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION DECLARING APRIL <br />AS KEEP CABARRUS CLEAN AND BEAUTIFUL MONTH <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners has demonstrated <br />its support for efforts to enhance the environment of <br />Cabarrus County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />residents of Cabarrus County have taken steps to actively <br />pursue clean-up and beautification by establishing Keep <br />Cabarrus Clean and Beautiful, Inc.; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners has been an <br />important and generous supporter of Keep Cabarrus Clean and <br />Beautiful, Inc.; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />communities throughout the State of North Carolina will <br />collectively commemorate clean-up and beautification efforts <br />during the month of April; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners that: <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />The month of April, 1989 is hereby declared "Keep Cabarrus <br />Clean and Beautiful Month," and <br /> <br />Ail citizens of Cabarrus County are encouraged to participate <br />in this commemoration and celebration by joining in clean-up <br />and beautification projects and spreading awareness of the <br />value and importance of a clean and beautiful environment in <br />our County. <br /> <br />Adopted this the 20th day of March, 1989. <br /> <br /> /s/ James W Lentz, Chairman <br /> James W.
