<br /> Chairman Lentz announced that he had appointed Commissioner Moss as the
<br />Commissioner member on the Cabarrus County Board of Health to fill the position
<br />previously held by Commissioner Simmons.
<br /> Mrs. Iris Arey, Chairman of the Home Health Advisory Board, requested
<br />additional clerical personnel for the Home Health Agency in order to meet the
<br />increased paperwork requirements for Medicare.
<br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by commissioner Simmons and
<br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the reallocation of $15,730.00 in the
<br />Home Health Agency's budget for a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to a Clerk
<br />Typist III position at $13,588.00.
<br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Melvin and
<br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into executive session to discuss
<br />possible land acquisition and personnel.
<br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Commissioner Simmons and
<br />unanimously carried, the executive session was adjourned.
<br /> Chairman Lentz reported no action from the executive session.
<br /> The Honorable Ralph Austin, Mayor of the Town of Mt. Pleasant, asked that
<br />County provide an additional $127,653.25 for the Black Run Creek Reservoir
<br />project. He reviewed the following revenues and expenses for the project.

<br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Simmons and
<br />unanimously carried, the Board turned the request by Mayor Austin for additional
<br />funding for the Black Run Creek Creek Reservoir Project over to Commissioner
<br />Moss for negotiation with a recommendation to be made to the Board on September
<br />5. The Board asked that Commissioner Moss's negotiations include a source of
<br />County money, the exact amount to be paid, and an increase in the County's
<br />guaranteed yield from 200,000 to 300,000 gallons of water per day.
<br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Commissioner Moss and
<br />unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Mr. Harry Lassiter and appointed Mr.
<br />Leonard Ritchie to the Mt. Pleasant Planning Board and Board of Adjustment for
<br />a three-year term ending June 30, 1992.
<br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Commissioner Melvin and
<br />unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Mr. Steve Grossman and Mr. Stuart J.
<br />Black to the Library Board of Trustees for a three-year term ending July 31,
<br />1992.
<br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Commissioner Simmons and
<br />unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Mr. Gerald Nichols to the Cabarrus
<br />County Planning Board for a three-year term ending August 31, 1992.
<br /> The following nominations were received to fill the position previously
<br />held by Mr. Ronald M. Page on the Cabarrus County Planning Board.
