<br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Commissioner Melvin with
<br />Commissioners Hamby, Melvin, and Moss and Chairman Lentz voting for, the Board
<br />appointed Messrs. Ben Mynatt and Troy Day to the Rowan-Cabarrus Community
<br />College Board of Trustees for a four-year term ending July 1, 1993.
<br /> Chairman Lentz recessed the meeting at 9:10 P.M. until the conclusion of
<br />the meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the Water and Sewer District of
<br />Cabarrus County.
<br />Chairman Lentz reconvened the meeting of the Board of Commissioners.
<br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Moss, seconded by Chairman Lentz with
<br />Commissioners Moss, Hamby, and Melvin and Chairman Lentz voting for, the Board
<br />by resolution approved the refund in the amount of $80.00 to Mr. Tony Fox for
<br />a permit which was double paid to the Building Inspection Department.
<br /> Chairman Lentz proclaimed the week of November 27 December 1, 1989 Home
<br />Care Week in Cabarrus County as follows.

<br />
<br />WHEREAS, many of our elderly and disabled citizens prefer to maintain their
<br /> independence and individuality by remaining in their own homes
<br /> rather than moving to a medical or nursing facility; and
<br />WHEREAS, home is a place of comfort, a place which provides the loving support.
<br /> of family, friends and neighbors, a place which maintains the freedom
<br /> and dignity of the individual regardless of their physical disabilities;
<br /> and
<br />WHEREAS, home care services help preserve one of our State's most important
<br /> social goals -- keeping families together; and
<br />WHEREAS, because home care is a cost-effective means of providing health care
<br /> and supportive services, home care agencies are being called upon to
