Planning and Zoning Commission Minutes <br />February 15, 2001 <br /> <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />IVlr. Aaron Ritchie, Vice Chairman, Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning <br />Commission. <br /> <br />Planning Board Function <br /> <br />The Chair introduced the first item on the Agenda, Extension of Preliminary Plat <br />for Favoni Corporate Center: <br /> <br />Applicant: Favoni Corporate Center <br />Request: Extension of Preliminary Plat <br /> <br />This was a request to the Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning <br />Commission from Favoni Corporate Center for an extension of their <br />preliminary plat. <br /> <br />Mr. Michael Downs, Development Services Director, addressed the <br />Board stating this is a planning board function and it will just take <br />the simply majority. He said this is an existing subdivision that was <br />approved on April 15, 1999. Mr. Downs said their time limit has <br />expired to complete the project, so they are asking for a two-year <br />extension. Staff recommends an extension period of two years <br />with expiration on May 16, 2003. <br /> <br />Mr. Dwiggins said this project is in his neighborhood and they have <br />done an excellent job on this child care development facility. He <br />said he hopes this extension will give them sufficient time to attract <br />the type of development they are looking for. <br /> <br />Mr. Hill asked Mr. Downs if the applicant has adhered to any and all <br />the criteria that was set forth for the development initially and are <br />they within the guidelines of what was laid down for them. <br /> <br />Mr. Downs said what they have in place now has met all the criteria <br />the Board approved. He said they are asking for the additional <br />time to meet the rest of them prior to continuing on with their <br />project. <br /> <br />There being no further comments Mr. Dwiggins MOTIONED to <br />approve Favoni Corporate Center preliminary plat extension, <br /> <br /> <br />
