3 4 <br />C. A motion was made, seconded and unanimously passed that the <br />following Supervisors serve as officers for 1976: <br />J. Lewis Patterson Chairman <br />John T. McClure Vice-Chairman <br />Wesley B. Grant Secretary-Treasurer <br />d. Expense vouchers for the State meeting were mailed promptly <br />following the meeting. A report was made that the Supervisors <br />had received expense checks covering these vouchers. <br />e. For the District Plan of Operations of 1976-77, Chairman Patterson <br />made the following appointments: <br />Public Relations Chairman Elise Litaker <br />Finance Committee Chairman Wesley B. Grant <br />Watershed Committee Chairman Marvin J. Smith <br />Land-Use Committee Chairman John T. McClure <br />The two recently appointed Associate Supervisors, Joe Drye and <br />Frank D. Mitchell were appointed by the Chairman to serve on the <br />Finance Committee with Wesley B. Grant. <br />4. Wesley B. Grant, Treasurer, gave the following report: <br />a. February 1, 1976 NET CASH IN BANK $3359.15 <br />b. A motion was made, seconded and unanimously passed authorizing <br />the Treasurer to pay the following: <br />Soil Conservation Society Member ship fee 17.00 <br />Cabarrus County Graphiss 45.00 <br />(Sediment Control brochures) <br />W. H. Cato (State meeting expenses) 58.28 <br />Eyvonne S. McDaniel (State meeting expenses) 44.44 <br />C. The 1976-71 District budget will be presented for approval at the <br />March meeting. <br />5. Chairman Patterson called on Hugh Price to bring those present up to date <br />on the Coddle-Coldwater-Dutch Buffalo Creeks watershed project. He pointed <br />out on the Watershed map the structure sites involved in the project and <br />the multi-purpose use of each. Hugh also reviewed the approximately 10 year <br />history of the watershed project, reviewing alternatives which had been <br />considered along the way. <br />Mr. Royce Espey pointed out that the alternatives presented by Hxigh Price <br />had been made under other types of watershed planning. <br />Mr. Espey explained that the Coddle-Coldwater-Dutch Buffalo Creeks project <br />is now being planned under the Principal and Standards procedure. <br />Mr. Espey described the steps in this procedure giving the sponsors and <br />Watershed Commissioners an over-all view of the steps being used to produce <br />the watershed plan. <br />
