UPON MOTION of Bob Ritchie, seconded by Louis Suther and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved a $9,000.00 funding request <br />for CLAP. <br />(5) Management BX Strengths Assessment Tool <br />Jeff Goforth presented a DVD on the Management By Strengths <br />assessment tool. There was a group discussion regarding the <br />individual assessment profiles. <br />(6) Lunch <br />The group recessed for lunch from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. <br />After lunch, there was a general discussion regarding technical <br />requirements for drought program assistance, including fencing of <br />ponds. The Board also reviewed the priority ranking worksheets and <br />adopted the following: <br />UPON MOTION of Jeff Goforth, seconded by Bob Ritchie and <br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the Pasture Renovation <br />worksheet. <br />UPON MOTION of Louis Suther, seconded by Jeff Goforth and <br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the Livestock Water Supply <br />worksheet. <br />UPON MOTION of Jeff Goforth, seconded by Louis Suther and <br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the Irrigation Water Sources <br />worksheet. <br />UPON MOTION of Louis Suther, seconded by Jeff Goforth and <br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the Conservation Irrigation <br />System worksheet. <br />Also approved were the requests for agriculture cost share funds <br />and technical assistance funds in the FY 2009 strategy plan. <br />UPON MOTION of Louis Suther, seconded by Bob Ritchie and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved $88,000.00 for ag cost share <br />funds for FY 2009. <br />UPON MOTION of Bob Ritchie, seconded by Jeff Goforth and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved $35,121.89 for technical <br />assistance funds for FY 2009. <br />(6) Strategic Planning <br />Ralston James discussed the District's ongoing strategic planning <br />process. He said most components are in place, but an outreach or <br />marketing plan is needed. This marketing /outreach plan is the <br />
