147 <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Simmons, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter with <br />Chairman Simmons and Commissioners Carpenter, Barnhart and Hamby voting for, the <br />Board approved the Debt Service budget as recommended by the County Manager. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Hamby with <br />Commissioners Barnhart, Hamby, and Carpenter and Chairman Simmons voting for, <br />the Board approved the Management Information Systems (MIS) budget as recommended <br />with the following changes: Reduce Office Supplies (Line Item 301) to $4,700.00; <br />Reduce Telephone (Line Item 420) to $5,200.00; Reduce Equipment Maintenance (Line <br />Item 560) to $80,000.00; Reduce Travel (Line Item 610) to $5,000.00; and Reduce <br />Equipment and Furniture (Line Item 860) to $5,600.00. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Commissioner Barnhart with <br />Commissioners Hamby, Barnhart, and Carpenter and Chairman Simmons voting for, <br />the Board approved the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) budget as recommended <br />by the County Manager. <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Simmons, seconded by Commissioner Hamby with <br />Chairman Simmons and Commissioners Hamby, Barnhart and Carpenter voting for, <br />the Board approved the Non-Departmental Budgets as recommended with the exception <br />of the Forestry Service for which the requested ten percent (10%) salary increase <br />was reduced to four percent (4%). The non-departmental items as approved included <br />Liability Insurance (Line Item 651) - $107,499.00; Medical Examiner (Line Item <br />652) $14,000.00; Alcohol Rehabilitation (Line Item 658) $18,000.00; <br />Unemployment Compensation (Line Item 659) - $7,511.00; Contingency (Line Item <br />660) $200,000.00; and Salary Adjustments (Line Item 670) $50,000. The <br />amended appropriation to the Forester was in the amount of $33,518.72. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Hamby with <br />Commissioners Barnhart, Hamby, and Carpenter and Chairman Simmons voting for, <br />the Board approved the Courts budget as recommended with a reduction in Office <br />Supplies (Line Item 301) to $3,000.00. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, Chairman Simmons <br />recessed the meeting at 4:20 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. on Friday, May 31, 1991. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
