Health dept. renovations --$ 78,000.00 <br />Soil & Water Stream Cleaning $ 45,000.00 <br />Conservation <br /> <br />Copiers and Computers Purchasing Guidelines <br /> <br /> Board members discussed the need for the development of guidelines for the <br />purchase of copiers and personal computers by County departments. The Board <br />requested that the Purchasing Agent develop guidelines for the purchase of <br />copiers. Further, the Board asked that all computer requests be reviewed by the <br />IS Department. <br /> <br />Governmental Center Parking Garage <br /> <br /> In regards to the parking arm system for the Governmental Center garage, <br />the Board asked that signs be erected for the restricted parking area. Also, <br />Chairman Barnhart asked that all County vehicles park in the area of the garage <br />away from the elevator. <br /> <br />Animal Shelter <br /> <br /> Dr. William F. Pilkington, Health Director, and Dr. Mark Stehr, member of <br />the Health Board, were present to discuss the need for a new animal shelter. Dr. <br />Stehr cited the following problems with the current shelter: too small, bad <br />location, poorly designed, and in poor condition. He stressed the need for <br />separate isolation facilities and for the construction of a kennel area that will <br />be easy to clean. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Niblock, seconded by Commissioner Fennel with <br />Commissioners Niblock, Fennel and Olio-Mills voting for and Chairman Barnhart <br />voting against, the Board approved up to $20,000.00 for architectural and <br /> <br /> <br />
