584 <br /> <br />Other work session dates will be scheduled as needed. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS <br /> <br />County Criminal Justice Partnership Advisory Board <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Casper, seconded by Commissioner Niblock with <br />Chairman Casper and Commissioners Niblock, Barnhart and Carpenter voting for, the <br />Board approved the appointment of the following members to the County Criminal <br />Justice Partnership Advisory Board. <br /> <br />One-Year Term of Appointment: <br />Commissioner Jeff Barnhart, County Manager or Designee; Senior Resident <br />Superior Court Judge Erwin Spainhour; Chief District Judge William G. Hantby, <br />Jr.; District Attorney Mark Speas; Attorney James D. Foster (Criminal <br />Defense Attorney) <br /> <br />Two-Year Term of Appointment: <br />Sheriff Robert M. Canaday; Kannapolis Police Chief Paul Brown; Nancy Woodard <br />(Probation Officer); Charlotte Kiefer (Community Service Coordinator); Mr. <br />Dorsey Ward (Mental Health); Amy Anderson, Director of Community Penalties <br />(Community Based Corrections) <br /> <br />Three-Year Term of Appointment: <br />Janet R. Retera (Cabarrus County Mediation); Wes Seamon (Juvenile Court <br />Counselor); Glenda Keziah (Public Health); John A. Howard, Jr. (Member of <br />Business Community); Robert Anthony Potts (Victim of Crime); and Recovering <br />Substance Abuser (to be named). <br /> <br />Unified Development Ordinance Steerinq Committee (4). <br /> <br /> Chairman Casper nominated Mr. Carleton Hobbs, Mr. David Black, Mr. Bill Babb <br />and Ms. Jo Coble for appointment as the County's representatives on the Unified <br />Ordinance Steering Committee. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Barnhart nominated Mr. Tim Huie, member of the Board of <br />Directors of the Home Builders Association of Cabarrus County. Commissioner <br />Niblock seconded this nomination. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jim Scarbrough, Attorney for the Home Builders Association, stated that <br />the Home Builders Association does not have a representative on the Steering <br />Committee. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Casper, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter with <br />Chairman Casper and Commissioners Carpenter, Barnhart and Niblock voting for, the <br />Board appointed the following persons to the Unified Ordinance Steering <br />Committee: Mr. Carleton Hobbs; Mr. David Black, Ms. Jo Coble and Mr. Tim Huie. <br /> <br />INFORFu%L PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Chairman Casper opened the meeting for Informal Public Comments. <br /> <br /> Mr. Steve Love questioned the approval of the Resolution regarding the <br />incorporation of Rimertown. Chairman Casper advised Mr. Love that the Board <br />adopted this Resolution earlier in the meeting. A copy of the Resolution was <br />provided to Mr. Love. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, Chairman Casper <br />adjourned the meeting at 9:45 P.M. <br /> <br /> Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
