Step 3. The Planning and Zoning Commission. The Planning and Zoning <br />Commission shall consider all applications to amend the atlas or text of this <br />Ordinance at their regularly scheduled monthly meetings. Applications shall <br />be filed with the Planning Services Division by the submission deadline <br />without exception so that staff evaluations can be accomplished. Bonds, Clerk to the Board <br /> <br />Subdivision Text Amendment - Petition G98-03 (S) Relative to Submission <br />Deadline and the Number of Copies Required to Be Submitted for Preliminary <br />Plats - Public Hearing - 6:30 P.M. <br /> <br /> Mr. Lagano reviewed Petition C98-03(S) to amend the Subdivision <br />Regulations relative to the number of copies of preliminary plats to be <br />submitted and the submission deadline for consideration by the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission. <br /> <br /> Chairman Casper opened the public hearing on Petition C98-03(S) and <br />asked if anyone wished to speak either for or against the proposed Petition. <br />There being no one present to address the Board, Chairman Casper closed the <br />public hearing. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Mills and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved Petition C98-03(S) as submitted and <br />adopted the following Amendment to the Subdivision Regulations. <br /> <br />PETITION G98-03(S) <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 1998-13 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED that the Cabarrus County Subdivision Ordinance is hereby <br />amended as follows: <br /> <br />Amend the Cabarrus County Subdivision Ordinance [Article II, Section <br />39(1)], by changing the submission deadline and the number of copies required <br />to be submitted for preliminary plats. <br /> <br />General - The subdivider shall submit fifteen (15) copies of the <br />preliminary plat for review by the Planning Services Division and other <br />agencies. The Planning Services Division must receive these copies by <br />the submission deadline without exception. The Planning and Zoning <br />Commission's current regular monthly meeting date shall serve as the <br />deadline for scheduling an item for consideration by the Commission at <br />its next regularly scheduled monthly meeting. If revisions are needed, <br />the subdivider shall submit fifteen (15) copies of the revised <br />preliminary plat to the Planning Services Division no later than ten <br />(10) days prior to the regularly scheduled monthly meeting of the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission for which the item shall be considered. <br /> <br />Proposed developments that fall within one of the Urban Growth Areas <br />must meet specific requirements of the appropriate urban municipalities <br />for roads, storm drainage, sediment and erosion control, etc. <br /> <br />Adopted this the 13~h day of July, 1998 by the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners. <br /> <br />/s/ Sue B, Casper <br />Sue B.
