~a¥ 31, £00~ Page <br /> <br />cited problems with "dead" spots for communication in the Midland area and <br />Motorola's plans to eliminate all analogue equipment. <br /> <br />Setting a Public Hearing <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner <br />Carpenter and unanimously carried, the Board set a public hearing at 6:30 <br />p.m. on Tuesday, June 15, 2004, for the proposed FY 2005 Cabarrus County <br />Budget. <br /> <br />Budget Review Meetings <br /> <br /> The Board agreed to meet at 6:00 p.m. on June 7 and June 8 to continue <br />review of the proposed FY 2005 Budget. <br /> <br />Closed Session <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Carruth <br />and unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into Closed Session as <br />authorized by North Carolina General Statute 143-318.11(a) (3) to consult with <br />the County Attorney to preserve the attorney-client privilege and discuss <br />pending litigation. Further, the Board invited Attorney Fletcher L. Hartsell, <br />Jr., to participate in the Closed Session via telephone. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Commissioner Carruth <br />and unanimously carried, the Board voted to come out of Closed Session. <br /> <br />No action was taken following the Closed Session. <br /> <br />Recess of Meeting <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Commissioner <br />Privette and unanimously carried, the Board moved to recess the meeting at <br />11:28 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 7, 2004, in the Multipurpose Room <br />at the Governmental Center. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
