<br /> COUNTY OF CABARRUS, NORTH CAROLINA

<br /> A special bond referendum will be held throughout the County of
<br />Cabarrus, North Carol ina, between 6:30 A.M. and 7:30 P.M., on Tuesday,
<br />November 2, 2004, at which there will be submitted to the qualified voters of
<br />said County each of the following questions:

<br /> Shall the order adopted on August 25, 2004, authorizing not
<br /> exceeding $94,900,000 School Bonds of the County of Cabarrus,
<br /> North Carol ina, for the purpose of providing funds, with any
<br /> other available funds, for erecting additional school buildings
<br /> and other school plant facilities, replacing, remodeling,
<br /> enlarging and reconstructing existing school buildings and other
<br /> school plant facilities and acquiring any necessary land, rights-
<br /> of-way, furnishings and equipment therefor, including computers,
<br /> in order to provide such school facilities in said County as
<br /> required by Section 2 of Article IX of the Constitution, and
<br /> authorizing the levy of taxes in an amount sufficient to pay the
<br /> principal of and the interest on said bonds, be approved?

<br /> # 2.
<br />
<br /> Shall the order adopted on August 25, 2004, authorizing not
<br /> exceeding $3,100,000 Community College Bonds of the County of
<br /> Cabarrus, North Carolina, for the purpose of providing funds,
<br /> with any other available funds, for erecting an additional
<br /> educational building and related improvements for Rowan-Cabarrus
<br /> Community College and acquiring furnishings and equipment
<br /> therefor, including computers, and authorizing the levy of taxes
<br /> in an amount sufficient to pay the principal of and the interest
<br /> on said bonds, be approved?
<br />
<br /> The Cabarrus County Board of Elections will conduct said referendum.
<br />The last day of registration for voting in such referendum under the election
<br />laws now in effect is October 8, 2004 (except as otherwise permitted by such
<br />election laws).

<br /> If any of said bonds are issued, taxes in an amount sufficient to pay
<br />the principal and interest thereof will be levied upon all taxable property
<br />in the County of Cabarrus.
