The primary requirement is to load filtering software on all library computers that are used by the public and staff to access the Internet in library facilities. LSTA funds have been granted to the library system to purchase such filters. These funds were received and deposited in June 2004 and must be appropriated in the fiscal year 2005 budget. C. Parks & Recreation Trust Fund Grant to construct an undeveloped 37 acre site on Pharr Mill Road. On May 21, 2004, the N. C. Park Authority awarded the matching reimbursable grant of $250,000.00. The Board authorized the required county match of $250,000.00 on 07.26.2004 provided by the Capital Reserve Fund. With Cabarrus County's matching share of $250,000.00 and the state grant of $250,000.00, the total $500,000.00 will construct Phase I at Pharr Mill Road Park.
