The Job Classification Schedule is <br />an Appendix to the Personnel Ordinance. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Carruth <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the FY 2004-2005 Job <br />Classification Schedule as included in the Agenda. <br /> <br /> (F-21) Award of Bid to Mitchell Distributing C~mpany for the Purchase of a <br />Landfill Crawler Dozer ($118,675.00) <br /> The following bids were received for the purchase of a Crawler Dozer for <br />the Landfill. The Invitation to Bid was published in THE INDEPENDENT TRIBUNE <br />on August 11, 2004.~ <br /> <br />Mitchell Distributing <br /> <br />$115,200.00 <br />$ 3,475.00 (add for extended warranty) <br /> <br /> Carolina Tractor $125,361.62 (includes warranty) <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, secOnded by Commissioner Carruth <br />and unanimously carried, the Board awarded the bid for the purchase of a <br />landfill Crawler Dozer to the low bidder, Mitchell Distributing Company, <br />Charlotte, N.C., in the amount of $118,675.00 (including extended warranty); <br />and authorized the Landfill to proceed with the purchase requisition. <br />(F-22) Agreement to Provide Soil and Erosion Control Services in the City <br /> <br />of Kannapolis <br /> <br /> The City of Kannapolis has requested that the Cabarrus County Department <br />of Commerce's Soil and Erosion Control Division provide administrative and <br />enforcement services in their jurisdiction. The agreement would not become <br />effective until approved by the North Carolina Sedimentation and Erosion <br />Control Board. Existing staff members will provide.the service and no new <br />positions are required. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Carruth <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the agreement to provide soil and <br />erosion control services (administration and enforcement) in the City of <br />Kannapolis. <br /> <br />(G) NEW BUSINESS <br />(G-l) Cabarrus Count~ Hazard Mitigation Plan - Public Hearing - 6530 p.m. <br /> Dave Hunter, Emergency Management Planner, presented the draft Hazard <br />Mitigation Plan that establishes hazard mitigation practices for Cabarrus <br />County and the participating jurisdictions of Harrisburg, Midland and Mt. <br />Pleasant. Adoption of the Plan Will enable Cabarrus County and the three <br />municipalities to be eligible to apply for relief funding in the event of a <br />natural disaster. The revised Plan has been approved by the State and is <br />ready to be forwarded to FEMA for review and approval. It was noted that the <br />cities of Concord and Kannapolis are developing their own plans. <br /> At 8:54 p.m., Chairman Freeman opened the public hearing for the Cabarrus <br />County Hazard Mitigation Plan. The Public Hearing Notice was published in <br />THE INDEPENDENT TRIBUNE on September 5 and September 12, 2004. <br /> There was no one present to address the Board, and Chairman Freeman <br /> closed the public hearing. <br /> <br /> <br />
