PLEASANT F/D <br />NORTHEAST F/D <br />ODELL F/D <br />POPLAR TENT F/D <br />RICHFIELD F/D <br />RIMER F/D <br />WINECOFF F/D <br /> <br />$5,893.97 <br />$3,605.94 <br /> $24.17 <br /> $0.00 <br /> $0.00 <br /> $0.00 <br /> $133.74 <br /> $0.00 <br /> $0.00 <br /> $0.00 <br /> $0.00 <br /> $0.00 <br /> $o.oo <br /> $0.00 <br /> $0.00 <br /> $0.00 <br /> $34.44 <br /> $o.oo <br /> $0.00 <br /> $0.00 <br /> $0.00 <br /> $0.00 <br /> $0.00 <br /> $0.83 <br /> $3.17 <br /> <br />(F-9) Renewal of the Lutheran Family Services Contract for the Department of <br />Social Services <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Carruth <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the renewal contract with the <br />Lutheran Family Services in the Carolinas for the emergency placement of <br />children in foster care for FY 2005 in the amount of $209,341.00; and <br />authorized the Chairman to execute the contract as drafted by the County <br />Attorney. <br /> <br />(F-10) Proclamation - "Litter Sweep" in Cabarrus County - September 18- <br />October 3, 2004 <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Carruth <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Proclamation: <br /> <br />LITTER SWEEP 2004 <br />A PROCLAMATION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the North Carolina Department of Transportation annually <br />organizes a fall state roadside litter cleanup to ensure clean and beautiful <br />roads in North Carolina; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Fall 2004 LITTER SWEEP roadside cleanup will take place <br />September 18 - October 3, 2004 and encourage civic and professional groups, <br />churches, schools, families, businesses and individual citizens to <br />participate by organizing cleanups in their communities; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the LITTER SWEEP cleanup will educate and encourage the <br />children of Cabarrus County regarding the importance of a clean environment <br />to the quality of life for the citizens of this county; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the cleanup will raise awareness of the need for cleaner <br />roadsides, emphasize the importance of not littering, and encourage recycling <br />of solid wastes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the 2004 fall cleanup will celebrate the 16tn anniversary of <br />the North Carolina Adopt-A-Highway program and the thousands of volunteers <br />Who contribute their time and labor year round to keep our roadsides clean. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners does hereby <br />proclaim September 18 - October 3, 2004, as ~LITTER SWEEP" time in Cabarrus <br />County, and urge all citizens to participate in making our roadsides clean <br />and reducing and recycling solid wastes. <br /> <br />This the 20th day of September 2004. <br /> <br /> <br />
