The program is designed to prevent and limit commitment to <br />Stonewall Jackson Youth Facility, thereby providing our youth better <br />opportunities to become productive citizens. Of the $599,636 program total, <br />the DJJDP funding of $313,395 is passed through the County's books for <br />distribution to the various programs. The County is making a cash match of <br />$8,967 for the Genesis program. These funds ($322,312) have been budgeted for <br />FY 2008. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner White <br />and unanimously carried, the Board authorized the Chairman to sign the <br />Department of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (DJJDP) County <br />funding plan and the Finance Director to sign the related Program Agreements; <br />Certification Standards for the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council and Program <br />Agreements for Home Based Services, Project Challenge, Inc., Court <br />Psychological Services, Cabarrus Teen Court Program, ALPHA (Genesis) and <br />Wraparound Advocacy, subject to final approval of the FY 2006 budget.
