Daniel reported to Board that North Carolina has provided <br />guidance on how districts should handle requests regarding <br />disposal of poultry mortality due to HPAI. The state <br />recommended the adoption of a policy related to soil <br />suitability for burial of poultry mortality. <br />UPON MOTION of Robert Brown, seconded by Lois Suther, the <br />board adopted a HPAI policy stating that suitability of <br />soils for burial of poultry mortality must be determined by <br />licensed soil scientists. Staff will provide a list of soil <br />scientists upon request. <br />(5 -C) Community Cost Share Assistance Program <br />(S -C -i) Contract Operation & Maintenance Violations; Mt. <br />Pleasant HS; 13- 10- 502 -16; Critical Area Seeding & <br />Bioretention Area <br />After general discussion about violations of contract terms <br />documented during annual spot checks, it was decided that a <br />letter will be sent concerning corrective actions. <br />(5 -D) Technical Assistance Spreadsheet <br />Staff will provide more information at next meeting. <br />(5 -E) Quarterly Budget Report <br />Staff will provide updated information at next meeting. <br />6) Closed Session to Discuss Conservation Plans <br />UPON MOTION of Rob Brown, seconded by Ned Hudson and unanimously <br />carried, the board entered into closed session to review and <br />approve 2 conservation plans due to "Legally Confidential <br />Information" based on the requirements of the Section 1619 of <br />the Food, Conservation and Energy Act of 2008." <br />(7) Adjourn <br />UPON MOTION of Ned Hudson, seconded by Robert Brown and <br />unanimously carried, the meeting was adjourned at 6:45 P.M. <br />, a4, V <br />Vicky P r er, Chairman RAbert Brown, Secretary /Treasurer <br />
