I should have something
this week.
1) Contract provides funding from the NCDOT contractor for the placement of an ambulance in the area impacted
by the multiple 1-85 bridge closures.
2) Cost to provide services will be $229,971 annually and will be paid in monthly installments of$19,164.25 by the
NCDOT contractor.
3) The contract will be for one year but should be able to exit with a thirty day notice in the event the project is
completed early. The contract can be extended on a monthly basis until the completion of the project associated
with increased response times.
4) Contract implementation would likely be April or May.
5) The costs represent those associated with personnel. EMS will provide the vehicle and temporary station
without cost to the NCDOT contractor.
Thanks
Alan
Alan Thompson, NRP, BS
EMS Director
Cabarrus County EMS
31 Willowbrook D
Concord, NC 28027
0: 704/920-2601
F: 704/782-9286
dathompson @cabarruscounty.us
www.cabarruscounty.us
"The mission of Cabarrus County Emergency Medical Services is to provide progressive, quality, pre-hospital
care as a part of a comprehensive healthcare system, to remain synonymous with excellence, and provide a
nurturing and challenging work environment.
