Kannapolis Video: Flyover shows what West Avenue will look like <br /> The City of Kannapolis has released an animation of the Kannapolis Streetscape-West Avenue Animation 0 A+� <br /> West Avenue streetscape which is the first component of <br /> the city's visionary Downtown Revitalization Project. <br /> The streetscape is designed to curve and wind through <br /> the main core of downtown–West Avenue. It will feature <br /> green and outdoor spaces that will complement the new <br /> sports and entertainment venue, apartments, retail, and <br /> restaurants. It will also include improvements to the <br /> surrounding streets of downtown. <br /> Official say the most important piece of the streetscape <br /> project will be the least visible and the most expensive. It is the infrastructure improvements which include replacing <br /> and upsizing aging and undersized underground utilities such as water, sewer, storm water, natural gas, electricity and <br /> the installation of technology. Click here to continue reading. <br /> Survey of 500-plus CEOs Ranks North Carolina No. 3 State for Business <br /> North Carolina ranks as the No. 3 state for business for the second straight year in Chief Executive magazine's 2017 <br /> Best& Worst States for Business survey. <br /> The state has consistently ranked among the leaders since the first annual survey 13 years ago—in part because CEOs <br /> view North Carolina as a state with one of the top living environments as well as a high-quality workforce, according to <br /> the magazine. Chief Executive surveys more than 500 CEOs across the country for the report, and the rankings reflect <br /> business leaders' perceptions of best and worst states based on a range of key measures. <br /> "Business leaders are challenged with everything from the growing talent shortage and skills gap to digital transfor- <br /> mation to discerning how the presidential election will impact their business," said Marshall Cooper, CEO of Chief <br /> Executive magazine. This year's rankings, Cooper said, "show that CEOs support states that understand and offer <br /> solutions to those challenges."
