CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> 1792 <br /> BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> REGULAR MEETING <br /> JULY 1712017 <br /> 6:30 P.M. <br /> AGENDA CATEGORY: <br /> Consent Agenda <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> Tax Administration - Tax Collector's Annual Settlement and Order <br /> Authorizing Collection of FY 2017-2018 Taxes <br /> BRIEF SUMMARY: <br /> The Tax Collector is required by N.C.G.S. 105-373 to give an annual <br /> settlement on current and delinquent taxes to the governing body for <br /> review and approval. The settlement report for fiscal year 2016-2017 is <br /> attached. This report contains real, personal and motor vehicle delinquent <br /> taxes that remain unpaid for the fiscal year. These lists are recharged to <br /> the Tax Collector for collection. Also attached is an Order to Collect, to <br /> be executed by the Chairman of the Board of County <br /> Commissioners, authorizing the Tax Collector to collect all 2017-2018 <br /> property taxes. <br /> REQUESTED ACTION: <br /> Motion to accept the Tax Collector's annual settlement and approve the <br /> Order to Collect in accordance with N.C.G.S. 105-321 . <br /> EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br /> SUBMITTED BY: <br /> R.
