We received a total of 9 bids,and all appear to be in <br /> compliance with bidding requirements. <br /> The lowest responsive bid was received from Messer Construction Co.,with a base bid amount of$10,998,000.00. <br /> It is our understanding that Cabarrus County will also accept the following alternates: <br /> Alternate No. 1 (LCN Door Closers) $0.00 <br /> Alternate No.2 (Mitsubishi HVA Units) $5,100.00 <br /> Alternate No. 3 (Medeco Cylinders) ($250.00) <br /> Alternate No.4(Marks USA Locksets) $0.00 <br /> Alternate No. 5 (Silane Sealer) $52,500.00 <br /> Alternate No.8 (Parking Control Equipment) $175,000.00 <br /> Alternate No. 9 (Concrete Form Liners) $15,500.00 <br /> Alternate Total: $247,850.00 <br /> We have checked with the North Carolina General Contractor's licensing agency to confirm that Messer has a <br /> current Unlimited, Unclassified Contractor's license.
