PARTN ER
,r
Partners for Parks works with many community groups who are interested in funding parks and
recreation programs as well as park capital improvements in the Charlotte region. Please see below for
information on all of our funds.
Featured Funds
General Fund
Partners for Parks "General Fund" is an Unrestricted Fund that is used primarily to supplement on going
recreation programs and facility improvements. Funds are distributed at the Board's discretion for such
programs as summer camp scholarships, the Reedy Creek "Nature Play" playground construction or
sponsoring a Nature Trail Construction Conference. We actively pursue both public and private partners
in order to increase the value of donations made for specific projects or programs. Moreover, this fund
is used to send Board Members to national and state conferences in order to lobby Congress and the
State Legislature for support for recreation programs and open space preservation. The fund is also used
to sponsor fund raising activities such as our "Annual Awards & Sponsor Social" that recognizes
individuals and public /private entities that supported recreation and open space initiatives.
2016 U.S. Paralympic Team Trials
Annual Sponsorship
Asheville International All Ages Park
Bark in the Park
Bette Rae Thomas Recreation Center
Charlotte Disc Golf
Clanton Park
Community Gardens
Cornelius General Fund
Cornelius Pickle Ball Fund
David Waymer Flying Field
Dog Parks
Dowd House
Attachment number 1 \n
F -1 Page 25
