CAR • 2016 <br />i �'y�J,rJJl� ll <br />1 <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />Finance - CCS Agency Agreement - New Early College <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The enclosed Cabarrus County Schools (CCS) Agency Agreement, <br />among other items, allows the County to appoint the Board of Education <br />as its agent in connection with the purchase and installation of mobile <br />units that will be used as a second Early College location. The new Early <br />College will be located on the County owned property at 660 Concord <br />Parkway, Concord. This location is also home to the Rowan Cabarrus <br />Community Business and Technology Center. <br />The Board of Education shall cause the new Early College project to be <br />completed in accordance with the respective construction documents and <br />any applicable requirements of governmental authorities and law. The <br />County and Board of Education agree that all amounts received as <br />refunds of State Sales Tax, with respect to expenditures made in <br />connection with the project, will be deposited as funds available for the <br />acquisition and construction of the project. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to approve the Cabarrus County Schools Agency Agreement for <br />the new Early College project, subject to review and /or revision by the <br />County Attorney <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />F -4 Page 53 <br />
