CAR • 2016 <br />i �'y�J,rJJl� ll <br />1 <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Appointments to Boards and Committees <br />SUBJECT: <br />Appointments and Removals - Active Living and Parks Commission <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The term of appointment for Tracy Broome "Northwest Cabarrus" area <br />representative and John Parker "At- large" area representative expires <br />January 31, 2016. Both Ms. Broome and Mr. Parker have served two <br />consecutive terms and are not eligible to serve another term. <br />The term of appointment for Chris Furr "Midland" area representative <br />expires January 31, 2016. Mr. Furr is eligible and willing to serve another <br />term. <br />Applications have been received from Samantha Fisk and Michael <br />Specht. Ms. Fisk is eligible to serve as an "Eastern" area representative <br />and Mr. Specht is eligible to serve as an "At- large" area representative. <br />Applications are still being accepted for the Northwest area. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to remove Tracy Broome and John Parker from the Active Living <br />and Parks Commission roster and thank them for their service. <br />Motion to appoint an individual to the Active Living and Parks Commission <br />as the "Eastern" area representative to complete an unexpired term <br />ending January 31, 2017. <br />Motion to appoint an individual to the Active Living and Parks Commission <br />as the "At- large" area representative for a three -year term ending January <br />H -1 Page 78 <br />
