November 21, 2005 (Regular Meeting) Page 405 <br />(F -13) Permit Fees for Building Demolition <br />Cabarrus County performs limited inspections on demolition projects, <br />but they are currently subject to the Schedule B tees, which apply to <br />remodeling projects. Jonathan Marshall, Commerce Director, and Construction <br />Standards staff proposed a separate Schedule C fee structure to provide more <br />equitable compensation for work performed by staff. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Arivette, seconded by Chairman Carpenter <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following as Schedule C of the <br />Construction Standards Fee Schedule: <br />Schedule C - 'Demolition Permits <br />Size - Square feet to be demolished <br />Less than 500 <br />500 - 4,999 <br />5,000 - 9,999 <br />10,000 and above <br />Per Structure Fee <br />$100 <br />$400 <br />$600 <br />$750 <br />Attachment number 1 \n <br />F -8 <br />Page 82 <br />
