CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF • • <br />* <br />REGULAR <br />¢ TN eAR° �jr MAY 16 20 <br />� / <br />1 P .M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />New Business <br />SUBJECT: <br />County Manager - Presentation of the Proposed FY17 Cabarrus County <br />Budget and Scheduling of a Public Hearing <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Cabarrus County Manager will present the proposed FY17 Cabarrus <br />County budget to the Board of Commissioners on Monday, May 16, 2016. <br />A copy of the proposed budget will be filed in the office of the clerk to the <br />board on that same evening and will be available for public inspection at <br />the Cabarrus County Government Center during regular business hours. <br />The FY17 proposed budget will also be posted on the County website at <br />http: / /www.cabarruscounty.us . Budget workshop meetings will be held in <br />the Multipurpose Room at the Governmental Center at 65 Church Street <br />SE in Concord on May 24 and 26 at 4 :00 p.m. <br />A public hearing on the proposed budget is required and citizens are <br />encouraged to attend and to present written or oral comments. Adoption <br />of the budget is scheduled for June 20, 2016. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Receive the budget. <br />Schedule a public hearing on the proposed FY17 Cabarrus County budget <br />for Monday, June 20, 2016 at 6 :30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as persons <br />may be heard. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />5 Minutes <br />G -7 Page 218 <br />
