Cabarrus EDC Announces Award Winners at Celebrate Cabarrus <br />Cabarrus Economic Development <br />announced the winners of two awards at <br />Celebrate Cabarrus on May 6th. The North <br />Carolina Manufacturing Institute was recog- <br />nized as the 2016 "Partner of the Year ". This <br />is awarded to a partner of the EDC who <br />assists in recruitment of new business and <br />offers assistance supporting existing <br />companies that already call Cabarrus <br />home. Craig Lamb, Vice President of <br />Corporate and Continuing Education at — <br />Rowan - Cabarrus Community College, accepted the award. (pictured above) <br />The EDC awarded Centralina Workforce Development Board the 2016 "Supporter of the Year ". This <br />award is given to a valuable supporter of the EDC's mission in making Cabarrus a positive business <br />environment for new and expanding businesses, increasing the tax base and creating employment <br />opportunities for our citizens.
