CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF • • <br />* <br />REGULAR <br />JUNE 2 0 2016 <br />1 <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />County Manager - Memorandum of Understanding for the Early College <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The new Cabarrus County Early College location is under construction at <br />the RCCC Business and Technology Center (CBTC). Since Cabarrus <br />County owns the underlying property, a Memorandum of Understanding <br />(MOU) outlining each party's role in the project has been prepared. <br />There is a simple lease agreement between RCCC and Cabarrus County <br />for the CBTC. This is an opportunity for the Board of Commissioners to <br />provide direction on long -term ownership of that property. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to approve Memorandum of Understanding and to authorize the <br />County Manager to execute the document after review and /or revisions by <br />the County Attorney. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Jonathan B.
