CABARRUS COUNTY <br />A <br />* <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 19, 2016 <br />i �'y�J,rJJl� ll <br />1 <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />New Business <br />SUBJECT: <br />Planning and Development - Mattons Grove Church Road Street Name <br />Change - Public Hearing 6:30 P.M. <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Cabarrus County Communications /E911 Dispatch and the Planning and <br />Development Department are working together to resolve confusion over <br />very similar road names in close proximity to one another. One of these <br />conflicts is Mattons Grove Church Road which changes to Collie Road <br />when it crosses into Stanly County, and then changes back to Matttons <br />Grove Church Road further into Stanly County. Due to safety concerns <br />resulting from these repetititve and conflicting road names, staff is <br />recommending changing the section of road in Cabarrus County named <br />Mattons Grove Church Road to Collie Road. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Hold a public hearing. <br />Motion to adopt road name change ordinance. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />5 Minutes <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Lee Snuggs, E911 Addressing Coordinator <br />Kelly Sifford, Planning and Development Director <br />BUDGET AMENDMENT REQUIRED: <br />G -3 Page 186 <br />
