CABARRUS COUNTY <br />A <br />* <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 19, 2016 <br />i �'y�J,rJJl� ll <br />1 <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Appointments to Boards and Committees <br />SUBJECT: <br />Appointments and Removals - Adult Care Home Community Advisory <br />Committee <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Jack Boyer, Tara Smith and Walter Rumple, IV serve on the Adult Care <br />Home Community Advisory Committee and have terms that expired on <br />August 31. Mr. Boyer is willing to serve another term on the committee. <br />An exception to the "length of service" provision of the Appointment Policy <br />will be needed for him, since Mr. Boyer began serving on the Committee <br />in 2009. <br />The Regional Ombudsman requests the removal of Ms. Smith from the <br />roster, a letter is attached to that effect. Due to family and work <br />obligations, Mr. Rumple is unable to serve another term and also requests <br />to be removed from the roster. <br />First appointed last fall, Diane Carlson's term on the Adult Care Home <br />Community Advisory Committee expires October 31 and she has already <br />indicated willingness to serve another term. <br />Avie Banks has resigned from her position on the Adult Care Home <br />Community Advisory Committee due to family and work scheduling <br />conflicts. The Regional Ombudsman requests her name be removed from <br />the roster. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to reappoint an individual to the Adult Care Home Community <br />Advisory Committee for a three -year term ending August 31, 2019; <br />H -2 Page 205 <br />
