CABARRUS COUNTY <br />A <br />* <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 21, 2016 <br />1 <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Recognitions and Presentations <br />SUBJECT: <br />Active Living and Parks - Recognition of Girl Scout Troop 755 <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Girl Scouts Hornets Nest Council Service Unit - Troop 755 completed <br />requirements to earn the Silver Award by constructing a natural <br />playground at Vietnam Veterans Park. Cabarrus County funded materials <br />and the Scouts provided site design and labor. Each Scout volunteered <br />over 40 hours. After receiving the Silver Award the Scouts <br />have scheduled additional volunteer work days to further enhance the <br />area. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Recognize Girl Scouts Emily Hebert, Verneisha Outterbridge- Teabout, <br />Gillian Powell, Rhiannon Krahe, Anna Schneider and commend them for <br />their achievement. <br />Recognize parents and volunteers in attendance that helped with project. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />5 Minutes <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Byron A.
