CABARRUS COUNTY <br />w r; <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 21, 2016 <br />1 <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />County Manager - Additional Funding Request for Detention Center <br />Security, Software and Hardware Upgrade Project <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The contract amount for Detention Center security, software and hardware <br />project came in over budget by $12,932. All the services of the contract are <br />needed for the overall operations of the project and the Sheriff's Office has <br />provided an additional $12,932 from their SCAAP grant funds (State <br />Criminal Alien Assistance Program) to cover this shortfall. A budget revision <br />is provided for approval to transfer these funds from the General Fund to <br />the Construction and Renovations Fund for execution of the contract. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to adopt budget amendment and related project ordinance. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Pamela S.
