Give the Poverty Cause name(s), rank the poverty cause(s) and identify which one(s)the agency will address. A)no or underemployment, B)little or no education or vocational skills and C)no or substandard housing. SRCAA will provide supportive services for families or individuals to develop occupational and life skills to increase income so they may rise above the income poverty level. SRCAA Family Services will use the Family Development approach to partner with participants and the community to: • Develop/Sustain a strategy to address those needs, both immediate and longer term, in the context of existing resources and opportunities in the community; • Identify specific outcomes to be achieved among low-income people and the community; and • Organize and implement program services, and activities, such as advocacy,support and guidance within the agency and among"partnering"organizations, to achieve anticipated results. 2. Describe the poverty cause(s) in detail in the community with appropriate statistical data (include data sources). According to the United States'Census bureau, the estimated population in Rowan County for 2015 was 139,142.Of that population 18%or 25,046 were living in poverty. In Cabarrus County the estimated population for 2015 was 196,762.Of that population 12%or 23,611 were living in poverty. Socio/economic factors such as working below the poverty wage rate,in addition to the need for occupational skills development,impacts communities and the ability of residents to gain, maintain or improve employment options,consequently creating the foundation of poverty. (A) Explain why the problem exists.
