Salisbury-Rowan Community Action Agency,Inc. <br /> Section III: Objective and Strategy <br /> (G) Objective Statement: <br /> To provide support and comprehensive services to assist eighty(80)new individuals/families and <br /> eighty(80)carryover families to increase their skills and income to rise above poverty level by June <br /> 30, 2018 <br /> Strategies for Objective: <br /> Provide support and comprehensive services to low-income families and individuals to develop <br /> occupational skills and increase income so they may rise above the poverty income level <br /> Objectives <br /> • To provide family development and case management services for low-income families so that <br /> they can rise above the poverty level. <br /> • To ensure that program participants understand their role in the partnership with SRCAA so they <br /> are able to identify,create and attain their goals. <br /> • To continue our partnership with area corporate, private and community partners to eliminate the <br /> barriers of poverty that prevent our participants from achieving self-sufficiency <br /> • To collaborate with local offices of the Department of Health and Human Services to address the <br /> needs of our participants. <br /> • To collaborate with the Department of Workforce Solutions to keep the community abreast of the <br /> employment trends and available work. <br /> • To continue providing individual participant counseling,mentoring and referrals to increase <br /> participant awareness of community and agency resources. <br /> • To plan and implement goals and set strategies with the families. <br /> • To continue to invite low-income individuals to join advisory boards and committees. <br /> • To increase fund development to close the gap between CSBG funding and participants need. <br /> • To continue to research, participate in national and local conversations about poverty and its <br /> eradication,expanding the knowledge base of staff and participants. <br /> Fiscal Year 2017-18 Community Services Block Grant Application Attachment number 2\n <br /> Page 24 of 37 <br /> F-9 Page 127 <br />
