CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> 1792 <br /> - BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> C REGULAR MEETING <br /> DECEMBER 19, 2016 <br /> 6:30 P.M. <br /> AGENDA CATEGORY: <br /> Appointments to Boards and Committees <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> Appointments and Removals - Home and Community Care Block Grant <br /> Committee <br /> BRIEF SUMMARY: <br /> The term of appointment for Linda Miller, Ex-officio representative, <br /> Centralina Area Agency on Aging, expires on December 31 , 2016. An <br /> application was received to serve on the HCCBG Committee from Katie <br /> Kutcher, Aging Specialist, Centralina Area Agency on Aging. Ms. Kutcher <br /> resides in Mecklenburg County, and an exception to the "residency" <br /> provision of the Appointment Policy will be needed for her. <br /> The terms of appointment for HCCBG Committee At-large members <br /> James Polk, Anita Helms, Scott Barringer and Janice Yow expire on <br /> December 31 , 2016. Mr. Polk, Ms. Helms and Mr. Barringer are willing to <br /> serve another term. Mr. Polk also serves on the Transportation Advisory <br /> Board, and an exception to the "service on multiple boards" provision of <br /> the Appointment Policy will be needed for him. <br /> Designated agency member, Kathy Mowrer, will be retiring from her <br /> position with the County at the end of the year and has submitted her <br /> resignation to the HCCBG Committee. Ms. Mowrer has served on this <br /> committee since June 2013. <br /> REQUESTED ACTION: <br /> Motion to remove Linda Miller, Janice Yow and Kathy Mowrer from the <br /> HCCBG Committee roster and thank them for their service. <br /> Motion to appoint an individual to the HCCBG Committee as the <br /> H-2 Page 179 <br />
