CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JANUARY 21 2015 <br />1 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Recognitions and Presentations <br />SUBJECT: <br />Active Living and Parks - Recognition by NCRPA <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Cabarrus County Active Living and Parks Department is being <br />recognized by the North Carolina Recreation and Park Association <br />( NCRPA) for their receipt of a Blue Cross Blue Shield NC Foundation <br />Healthy Eating Equipment Grant. The grant is offered through NCRPA <br />and was awarded for promoting healthy concessions at remote special <br />events. This supports the efforts to expand the existing healthy <br />concessions program to serve participants and spectators at over 50 <br />remote special and /or athletic events annually.
