RESOLUTION EXPRESSING SUPPORT FOR THE CLOSURE <br />OF STATE ROAD 2481 (NORTH DRIVE), RUNNING <br />THROUGH THE MT. PLEASANT MIDDLE SCHOOL CAMPUS <br />WHEREAS, a portion of North Carolina State Road 2481 (North Drive) in <br />Cabarrus County dissects the Mt. Pleasant Middle School property, being a paved road <br />within the school property boundaries; and <br />WHEREAS, the Cabarrus County Board of Education is supportive of the closure <br />and abandonment of State maintenance for this area, as described on the attached <br />Exhibit; and <br />WHEREAS, the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) has <br />requested the Cabarrus County Board of Education to consider this action and provide <br />a resolution of support; and <br />WHEREAS, the Cabarrus County Board of Education, at their regular meeting on <br />2014, considered this action; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Education expresses its support for the closure and abandonment of public <br />maintenance of S.R. 2481 (North Drive), as described on the attached Exhibit. <br />Adopted this �_ day of — ba" , v -Ja- r , 2014. <br />Board Chair <br />Cabarrus County Board of Education <br />-Attachment number 2 <br />G -1 Page 107 <br />
