CRA Fast Facts! <br />• The Concord Regional Airport is owned and operated by <br />the City of Concord <br />• Has a $171M economic impact to the region <br />• Supports more than 1,900 jobs <br />• Runway & hanger access for private jets and charter <br />planes, commercial flights, flight schools, etc. <br />• Over 61,000 operations in 2013; largest regional airport <br />in North Carolina ?�`' <br />• 7,400 x 100 ft wide runway, full instrument rated, <br />strengthened to support aircraft up to 130,000 Ibs <br />• Allegiant Air: Commercial service began December 2013. <br />Allegiant provides scheduled airline service to the Central <br />Florida area including flights to the Orlando Sanford Inter- <br />national Airport and St. Petersburg - Clearwater Interna- <br />tional Airport. <br />• Allegiant handled around 40,000 passengers last year at <br />Concord Regional; CRA is in talks with 2 additional com- <br />mercial airlines as well <br />• For more information, see Independent Tribune 2/4/2015 article: Lofty Goals for Concord Regional Airport. <br />Cabarrus Employment Info: Cabarrus County's unemployment rate dropped to 4.8% for December 2014 from 5% in November 2014. <br />Cabarrus currently ranks 19th in North Carolina with the lowest unemployment rate. North Carolina's % of union workers is the lowest in the <br />nation. In 2014, 1.9% of workers in NC were union members, down from 3% in 2013.
