CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 20, 2015 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />County Manager - Lease Extension for USDA Space in the County <br />Cooperative Extension Building <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The USDA lease for space in the County's Cooperative Extension Building <br />was extended in 2011 for a two -year term that expired at the end of June <br />2013. Through an oversight by the County and USDA, that lease was not <br />extended, although lease payments continued to be made. The attached <br />proposal is to extend the 2013 lease extension to December 31, 2018 at <br />an annual rent of $32,598.40. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to approve the lease extension and authorize the County Manager <br />to execute the lease after review by the County Attorney. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Jonathan B.
