CABARRUS COUNTY <br />* <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JULY 20 2015 <br />1 <br />�I3 CARS 1�1�� <br />• P .M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />County Manager - Appropriation for FY 2016 Special Olympics <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The County has amended the contract (attached) with Cabarrus County <br />Schools to pay for the annual compensation of the salary and benefits of <br />one staff member for Special Olympics services to the community. Since <br />this agreement has been entered into, the County has provided increases <br />per the state, each year the state has provided raises. This position has <br />been provided those increases but the annual budget contribution was not <br />increased except one time to $55,930. The current compensation amount <br />is $57,687. The county is requesting to adjust this years contribution in the <br />amount of $1,757 to make this position whole. In the future, the Schools <br />will provide a separate request for the full salary and benefits amount for <br />this position during the budget process. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to adopt budget amendment and approve the amendments to the <br />contract for clarification purposes. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Pamela S.
