August Employment Numbers: <br />Cabarrus County's unemployment rate dropped to 5.5% for August from 5.7% in July. Cabarrus currently <br />ranks 14th in North Carolina with the lowest unemployment rate. Also, <br />Cabarrus Economic Development spoke to 16 students at Mt. <br />Pleasant High School Academy of Energy & Sustainability about <br />manufacturing opportunities in Cabarrus followed by Ketchie <br />sponsoring the viewing of the American Made Movie.
